This work without title by John Plumb was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2016. It achieved a price of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,305.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Plumb - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Colour Barrier, which sold at auction in November 2019 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,888.31).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.305,07) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Für andere Arbeiten von John Plumb mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Colour Barrier beobachtet, die im November 2019 für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.888,31) versteigert wurde.
