A top price for John Plumb - as previously expected
The work Colour Barrier by John Plumb was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,888.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Colour Barrier is the most expensive artwork by John Plumb that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Colour Barrier von John Plumb kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.888,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Colour Barrier das teuerste Kunstwerk von John Plumb, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
