Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Geometric Colours by John Plumb for GBP 192.00 (€ 284.56). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Plumb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Colour Barrier in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,888.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Geometric Colours von John Plumb für GBP 192,00 (€ 284,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Plumb erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Colour Barrier im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.888,31).
