The work Crossing by John Plumb was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in December 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,717.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Plumb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Colour Barrier in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,888.31).

Die Arbeit Crossing von John Plumb wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.717,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Plumb erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Colour Barrier im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.888,31).
