This artwork by John Plumb achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2014. In the Made In Britain auction, the work Colour Ladder #6 sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,215.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Plumb; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Colour Barrier sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,888.31).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Plumb erzielte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made In Britain wurde die Arbeit Colour Ladder #6 für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.215,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Plumb; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Colour Barrier im November 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.888,31).
