Sold at the lower estimate price
In March 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Colour Ladder No 4 by John Plumb. The result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,775.23) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Plumb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Colour Barrier in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,888.31).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Colour Ladder No 4 von John Plumb zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.775,23) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Plumb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Colour Barrier im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.888,31).
