Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wet Embankment by John Jobson was sold in the THE IRISH SALE auction at Christies in London in May 2005. The price achieved of GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,683.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by John Jobson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape (Wicklow) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,813.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wet Embankment von John Jobson wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion THE IRISH SALE bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.140,00 (€ 1.683,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Jobson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape (Wicklow) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.813,05).
