Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work The Opening by John Jobson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 940.00 (€ 1,472.05), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Jobson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape (Wicklow) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,813.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE IRISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Opening von John Jobson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 940,00 (€ 1.472,05) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Jobson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape (Wicklow) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.813,05).
