Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Graham could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 93,750.00 (€ 83,422.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman with Dodecahedron in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,609,000.00 (€ 1,095,452.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Graham konnte im September 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 93.750,00 (€ 83.422,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman with Dodecahedron im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.609.000,00 (€ 1.095.452,07).
