Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Face of a Woman; Portrait of Anni Albers) by John Graham was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September this year. The price achieved of USD 50,800.00 (€ 47,996.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman with Dodecahedron in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,609,000.00 (€ 1,095,452.07).
