Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Still Life by John Graham. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,423.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman with Dodecahedron in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,609,000.00 (€ 1,095,452.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life von John Graham zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.423,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman with Dodecahedron im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.609.000,00 (€ 1.095.452,07).
