In March 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Bell'S Pond Diner by John Baeder. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,855.24), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Baeder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diner, Binghampton, N.Y. in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 54,000.00 (€ 45,801.53).

Im März 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bell'S Pond Diner von John Baeder zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.855,24) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Baeder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diner, Binghampton, N.Y. im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 54.000,00 (€ 45.801,53).
