Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Funeral Of A Lady by John Armstrong was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,710.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Armstrong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind' in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 90,683.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Funeral Of A Lady von John Armstrong wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.710,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Armstrong erzielen.
