Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Funeral Of A Lady by John Armstrong was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,710.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Armstrong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind' in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 90,683.74).
