This artwork by John Armstrong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June last year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Three feathers sold for GBP 33,060.00 (€ 38,406.32) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Armstrong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind', which sold at auction in April 2014 for GBP 74,500.00 (€ 90,683.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Armstrong erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Three feathers für GBP 33.060,00 (€ 38.406,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Armstrong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind' beobachtet, die im April 2014 für GBP 74.500,00 (€ 90.683,74) versteigert wurde.
