The work Abstract Linear by John Armstrong was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,561.18), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Armstrong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind' in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 90,683.74).

Die Arbeit Abstract Linear von John Armstrong wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.561,18) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Armstrong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind' im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 90.683,74).
