Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Victory by John Armstrong was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2020. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,632.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Armstrong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Initial Study For The Poster 'Can Spring Be Far Behind' in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 90,683.74).

Die Arbeit Victory von John Armstrong kam im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.632,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Armstrong erzielen.
