This artwork by Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2011. In the Impressionist and Modern Art auction, the work Children playing in the dunes sold for EUR 12,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In de vakantiedagen: children playing on the beach in summer in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 74,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Children playing in the dunes für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In de vakantiedagen: children playing on the beach in summer im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 74.400,00.
