Auction result misses estimated price range

In the The former Kamerbeek Collection auction, the work Een theemiddagje: an afternoon tea in The Hague changed hands for EUR 875.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In de vakantiedagen: children playing on the beach in summer in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 74,400.00.
