Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 10,000.00. Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Girl in the shade von Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa kam im November 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 10.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johannes Evert Hendrik Akkeringa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In de vakantiedagen: children playing on the beach in summer im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 74.400,00.
