The work Gray Blue by Jo Baer was worth GBP 146,500.00 (€ 184,782.56) to a buyer in July 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jo Baer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of USD 327,600.00 (€ 307,490.14).
