Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 5 Prints, from the Cardinations portfolio (5 works) by Jo Baer was sold in the Geometric AbstractionPrints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in New York in February 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,108.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jo Baer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May this year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 307,490.14).
