Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Untitled (Football Base) by Jin Meyerson. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,625.00 (€ 3,982.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jin Meyerson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Raft in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 191,035.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Football Base) von Jin Meyerson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 3.982,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jin Meyerson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Raft im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 191.035,13).
