Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale), which included the work BEFORE THE INVENTION OF DEATH by Jin Meyerson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 106,624.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jin Meyerson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2008 the work Raft was auctioned for USD 242,500.00 (€ 191,035.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit BEFORE THE INVENTION OF DEATH von Jin Meyerson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 106.624,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jin Meyerson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2008 die Arbeit Raft für USD 242.500,00 (€ 191.035,13) versteigert.
