This artwork by Jim Nutt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Mmmmmmph sold for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,273.03) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Nutt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Tooth" in October last year with an auction result of SEK 10,500,000.00 (€ 960,791.22).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jim Nutt erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Mmmmmmph für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.273,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jim Nutt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Tooth" im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 10.500.000,00 (€ 960.791,22).
