Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Self-Portrait by Jenny Saville for USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,926.72). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jenny Saville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Propped in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 9,537,250.00 (€ 10,755,075.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Jenny Saville für USD 81.250,00 (€ 76.926,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jenny Saville erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Propped im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.537.250,00 (€ 10.755.075,69).
