This artwork by Jean-Claude Farhi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in April last year. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work without title sold for SEK 140,000.00 (€ 13,552.24) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Claude Farhi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unique Dining Table, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 37,378.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Claude Farhi erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für SEK 140.000,00 (€ 13.552,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Claude Farhi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unique Dining Table beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 37.378,68) versteigert wurde.
