Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Colonne - 1973 by Jean-Claude Farhi was auctioned at Artcurial in April 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Claude Farhi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unique Dining Table in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 37,378.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Colonne - 1973 von Jean-Claude Farhi im April 2014 bei Artcurial versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.300,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Claude Farhi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Unique Dining Table im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 37.378,68).
