Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (two headed mushroom & stem) by Jason Middlebrook for USD 875.00 (€ 772.15). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jason Middlebrook have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lighting The Over And The Under in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,712.13).

Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (two headed mushroom & stem) von Jason Middlebrook für USD 875,00 (€ 772,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jason Middlebrook auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lighting The Over And The Under im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.712,13).
