Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Earth Tree (Study for Sculpture I Want to Make)" by Jason Middlebrook was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 20,000.00 (€ 1,950.92). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jason Middlebrook - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lighting The Over And The Under, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,712.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Earth Tree (Study for Sculpture I Want to Make)" von Jason Middlebrook im November 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 20.000,00 (€ 1.950,92) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jason Middlebrook mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lighting The Over And The Under beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.712,13) versteigert wurde.
