The result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,021.43) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Groover have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life Studies in June 2010 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,170.04).

Die Arbeit Plain Fields, 1981 von Jan Groover kam im Januar 2008 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.021,43) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Groover auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life Studies im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.170,04).
