Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Untitled (Twin Towers) by Iván Navarro. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 40,320.00 (€ 34,031.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iván Navarro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shortcut, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 161,000.00 (€ 123,960.58).
