In November 2017 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Jacques Grange | Collectionneur, which included the work The Archer'S Wife Before The Tsar And His Retinue by Ivan Bilibin. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 40,000.00 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ivan Bilibin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tsaritsa Militrissa in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 150,500.00 (€ 210,738.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Jacques Grange | Collectionneur durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Archer'S Wife Before The Tsar And His Retinue von Ivan Bilibin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 40.000,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivan Bilibin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tsaritsa Militrissa im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.500,00 (€ 210.738,94).
