Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction The Russian Sale, which included the work An illustration for Le Coq d'Or, Tsar Dodon meets the Queen of Shemakhan by Ivan Bilibin. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 19,000.00 (€ 21,210.41). Admittedly, works by Ivan Bilibin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tsaritsa Militrissa in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 150,500.00 (€ 210,738.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Russian Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit An illustration for Le Coq d'Or, Tsar Dodon meets the Queen of Shemakhan von Ivan Bilibin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 19.000,00 (€ 21.210,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivan Bilibin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tsaritsa Militrissa im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.500,00 (€ 210.738,94).
