This artwork by Ivan Bilibin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2016. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Set Design Of Little Kitezh On The Volga sold for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 39,010.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ivan Bilibin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tsaritsa Militrissa in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 150,500.00 (€ 210,738.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ivan Bilibin erzielte im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Set Design Of Little Kitezh On The Volga für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 39.010,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivan Bilibin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tsaritsa Militrissa im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.500,00 (€ 210.738,94).
