Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work At The Vineyards Of La Favière by Ivan Bilibin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,182.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivan Bilibin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tsaritsa Militrissa in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 150,500.00 (€ 210,738.94).
