Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Neighbors, Circa 1995 by Ignacio Iturria was sold in the Contemporary Art Online auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,284.29). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ignacio Iturria - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Avión azul en la bañera, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 35,250.00 (€ 41,691.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Neighbors, Circa 1995 von Ignacio Iturria wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.284,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ignacio Iturria mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Avión azul en la bañera beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 35.250,00 (€ 41.691,31) versteigert wurde.
