Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trencito bajo el mueble by Ignacio Iturria was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 900,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,463.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ignacio Iturria - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Avión azul en la bañera, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 35,250.00 (€ 41,691.31).

Die Arbeit Trencito bajo el mueble von Ignacio Iturria kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.463,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
