The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 5,073.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ignacio Iturria have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Avión azul en la bañera in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 35,250.00 (€ 41,691.31).
