The work Untitled (bunny) by Hunt Slonem was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in New York in November 2014. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,532.40), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hunt Slonem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Picul 131 in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 32,721.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (bunny) von Hunt Slonem wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.532,40) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hunt Slonem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Picul 131 im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 32.721,61).
