Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July this year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Princess Margret JJS by Hunt Slonem. Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,880.00 (€ 9,872.96). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hunt Slonem - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Picul 131, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 37,800.00 (€ 32,721.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Princess Margret JJS von Hunt Slonem zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.880,00 (€ 9.872,96) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hunt Slonem mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Picul 131 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 37.800,00 (€ 32.721,61) versteigert wurde.
