In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Trumpeter by Hunt Slonem. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,860.00 (€ 11,802.78), 73% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hunt Slonem - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Picul 131, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 37,800.00 (€ 32,721.61).

Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trumpeter von Hunt Slonem zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 11.802,78) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hunt Slonem mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Picul 131 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 37.800,00 (€ 32.721,61) versteigert wurde.
