Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hippolyte Petitjean could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Baigneuse Se Coiffant changed hands for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,713.61) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hippolyte Petitjean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Femme Au Bord Du Lac in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,275.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hippolyte Petitjean konnte im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Baigneuse Se Coiffant für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.713,61) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hippolyte Petitjean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Femme Au Bord Du Lac im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 78.275,67).
