Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Birthday Dinner by Hilary Pecis. Here, the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 302,400.00 (€ 281,800.39). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hilary Pecis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fish and Bird, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 942,500.00 (€ 1,117,439.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birthday Dinner von Hilary Pecis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 302.400,00 (€ 281.800,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hilary Pecis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fish and Bird beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 942.500,00 (€ 1.117.439,83) versteigert wurde.
