Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Table Top Book Stack by Hilary Pecis was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 2,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 332,183.96). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hilary Pecis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fish and Bird, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 942,500.00 (€ 1,117,439.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Table Top Book Stack von Hilary Pecis wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 2.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 332.183,96) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hilary Pecis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fish and Bird beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 942.500,00 (€ 1.117.439,83) versteigert wurde.
