Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Persian Couple 2 by Hayv Kahraman was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 68,750.00 (€ 65,091.84). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hayv Kahraman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Kawliya Dance, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 118,750.00 (€ 133,913.36).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Persian Couple 2 von Hayv Kahraman wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 68.750,00 (€ 65.091,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hayv Kahraman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Kawliya Dance beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 118.750,00 (€ 133.913,36) versteigert wurde.
