Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Hername by Hannah Wilke. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,394.00 (€ 2,055.46), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hannah Wilke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work S.O.S. Starification Object Series in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 708,500.00 (€ 599,762.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hername von Hannah Wilke zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.394,00 (€ 2.055,46) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hannah Wilke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit S.O.S. Starification Object Series im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 708.500,00 (€ 599.762,97).
