Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2016 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Hannah van Bart for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,336.89). This price was achieved in the auction First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hannah van Bart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Thin air, which sold at auction in July 2019 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,984.73).
