Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Hajime Sorayama could be acquired at Christies in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Edition auction, the work Future Mickey (Red) changed hands for USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,143.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hajime Sorayama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sexy Robot, Life Size Seating Model B in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 651,307.65).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Hajime Sorayama konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Edition wechselte die Arbeit Future Mickey (Red) für USD 1.260,00 (€ 1.143,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hajime Sorayama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sexy Robot, Life Size Seating Model B im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 651.307,65).
