In November this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Sexy Robot, Life Size Model A by Hajime Sorayama. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 325,280.53), 39% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hajime Sorayama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sexy Robot, Life Size Seating Model B, which sold at auction in December 2021 for HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 651,307.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sexy Robot, Life Size Model A von Hajime Sorayama zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 325.280,53) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hajime Sorayama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sexy Robot, Life Size Seating Model B beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 651.307,65) versteigert wurde.
