Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Wonderment Of Motherhood by Gutzon Borglum was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,556.56). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gutzon Borglum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mares of Diomedes' in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 118,625.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Wonderment Of Motherhood von Gutzon Borglum kam im November 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.556,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gutzon Borglum erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mares of Diomedes' im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 144.000,00 (€ 118.625,92).
